I didn’t really plan any of my Japan section. Honestly, I don’t plan much anymore. There is just flow to travel and when you find it, you go. I search for friendships, but if I already have them, I follow them. If they have ideas, I just document as they drive the ship.
Following Matt around Japan meant that I would have a friend at each stop. Meeting Shane and Cameron meant we had a crew. They had been going to Japan for 10 years so skating was a plus, but also, Japanese friends! I met Yui along with a few others that really rounded out the section. Yui even invited us to her DJ set where I caught a couple shots.
