Lost in Vietnam: HCM Road
When I thought of Vietnam, it was always about motorcycles. People talk of Ha Giang but the whole country is known for its bike culture. It’s actually their daily life. Little kids are on bikes in the busy streets barely after walking. Children ride double up to school. By the time they make it to their teens, they’ve already conquered the movements and lifestyle. And here I am, wondering how to see their world, of course it was by bike.
I had no idea what I booked. I had no idea the route. I had no idea how it would feel, I just knew it was the only way. I heard stories up and down since arriving in Thailand. “How was your ride? What happened? Tell me more.”
I started this trip…a 5 days ago? Seems like so much has happened. Driving means the days are packed. 10 days more to go, and today was the first endurance test. Let’s see what this country really has to offer.
Driving on the wrong side of the road is normal in most SEA.
Couple legs today. Total drive took 5.5 hours.
I don’t understand this coffee.
Also, left my charger somewhere. If you find my brain, please return it immediately.
What I came for.
I honestly wanted to take more photos. At some point you wonder if you’re pulling over too much. Imagine all the times I “thought about” pulling over 😅.
Pee break.
This princess only goes 60k/ hr. My only problem.
Well, I didn’t top off my fuel before leaving. Barely made it to the first gas station. BARELY. That’s not her fault, that’s mine. 😁👸
Arrived. This place was 3$ more for a cool view. Why not. Too bad it’s mainly couples, seems like a good couples spot too. Maybe next time..
At least these guys will love me 😍
Cute.
Nice view, and Apparently my new sunscreen doesn’t work.
Research for tomorrow. Interesting name here..
Just started raining and the forecast is a high of 22 tomorrow. Such a contrast from 39 only a week ago.
Wish me luck. Tomorrow should be the prettiest drive. Hoping I stay dry and have a nice ride. 🫰🏼
