Wicked Rest

Rest is a wonderful drug. I used to sit around in bed for days watching movies or reading. I’d sleep half the day and didn’t mind. Was I sleeping and resting all that time because how little I would have later? What an interesting thought.

These days, since I quit drinking, my days are long and constant. They keep coming. They keep going. I’m always finding more things I want to do and finish. It’s Neverending. How are people bored in life? I don’t have enough me for the things I already do, much less the things I want to do!

Basically, I feel like a whole différent person when I rest. I feel excited and refreshed. I feel so much lighter in my thoughts and my attitude. I need to listen to my body more, my feelings of exhaustion are real. I can push it. I know I can, but I need to learn when. Know when to go slow. No need for FOMO. You’re exactly where you’re suppose to be.

The signage today was so fun. Everyday life I find entertaining here. I don’t need temples or grand sights. Just life in general is fun.

When I feel off, getting back in the gym feels soooo good. Sometimes the process doesn’t really hit, but the feeling of sore muscles makes me know I am going to grow. The work can be felt. That’s a good feeling.
