Tomb Raider: Angkor Wat part I

Wow, absolutely wow. I feel I’ve wanted to visit this place for a long time but didn’t know what to expect and it was grand and awesome and absolutely colossal. Did I mention it was almost 40 degrees? It was sweaty out there amongst the ruins of Angkor Wat. Despite the tourists, despite the relentless sweat and heat, I’d give this icon an easy 10/10.

I got picked up at 930 and we went til sunset at 630. It was such a long day that I decided to split this up in two. Hope you like ancient awesome things!

Signs in life.

This sign is hilarious.

Coolest ticket ever!

Got damn.

The basics of these temples are that one king started with Buddhism and then another king went with Hinduism later. It caused tons of conflict inside leaving Buddha’s getting carved out of walls and all sorts of things.

Happy camper! Already sweat through my shirt though.

Amazing.

Can’t have a temple without a full-size pool.

😍

Yowza 🥰😍🤩

This lok lak was delicious! Finally, some good food. Thanks Cambodia.

For a moat, this looks extra tasty.
