Mom appreciation post:

My mom’s birthday falls on Christmas Eve. She was actually going to be named something else, but destiny decided it. So, Eve was born. Having that birthday though, is a blessing and a curse. You’re never going to get the same kind of appreciation with it being so close to a major holiday. So a couple months after the fact, I found some of her best moments from the trip to share with you.

My favorite place to sit on earth. Had to share with moms.

Interlaken. I see shots all the time that would be better with people. Nothing like Moms to model!

For the last couple years, my mom’s been joining me in Hawaii and I’ve been showing here more exotic worlds. She loves all of it except for major hiking (hehe). With this whole year being so travel heavy, I told her she should meet me in Europe and I’ll show her some more. The dates were set, the tickets booked. And I wanted to show her my favorite parts.

With that said, Switzerland and Italy seem to be the easiest to admire for me. Switzerland being the mountain capital of the world just breathes beauty. It doesn’t take any genius art dealer to tell me how to understand it neither. It just is breathtaking. Then there’s Italy, equally beautiful in different ways. There’s tons of history to go along amazing countryside and ancient cities. Of course, there’s Italian food, and who doesn’t appreciate that?

Making pasta with Mom was one of my favorite experiences I’ve ever had with my mom, with travel, with anything! 🥰🥰🥰

She really loved this bridge, so I couldn’t leave it out.

Where to?!?

Everything about this photo.

So, with Mom in hand, I treated her to my world. We backpacked across two countries top to bottom. We saw the peaks and towers of Grindlewald and Murren, we saw great turquoise lakes of Interlaken and Merlischachen. Into Italy we started with the canals of Venice then through the timeless streets of Florence. To end, Rome, where half of history began.

Venice is about love, and I think she loved every bit of it.

Best date.

Gotta have a fun photo.

I was so stoked to have shared with her why ive been traveling so far from home. We always seem to find some new bond in the mother/son relationship on these longer trips. Traveling is such a joy, and it always gives you so much perspective. Sharing the road with my mom has illuminated even more of what the road can offer, what life can offer. It was probably more a present to myself than to her. Classic moms, giving more than they take.

Thank you mom. Love you always.
