Life in the Fast Lane: HCM Rd to Ninh Binh, Vietnam

Usually, I don’t spend just single days in cities or towns. My body just can’t handle the constant motion anymore. It doesn’t give you any time to relax or enjoy the small moments. Yet, here I again 😁.

Messing up my visa means I don’t have a full run of time like I originally thought. Only solution: pick up the pace. 1 day driving, 1 day sight seeing. Hoi An to Hanoi in 2 weeks. No problem.

Although, my days and experiences are already blurring into each other. My tourism is just like my bike now, 1st-2nd-3rd-4th gear, full throttle. Zoom zoom. Click the photo, write the story, move along. I hope I wrote down enough notes

Luckily, Vietnam lifestyle is very slow paced. The moment I stop, life seems to catch back up with lots of smiles.

Rains, barking, and thunder all night. Not off early this morning.

Had a friend join me. Oh look, sun!

So strange to see so many churches. It just doesn’t look right.

I suppose this is to keep the dog from jumping out while driving but errrrrrr, ummmmm. Bro.

Speaking of crazy transports, this is my ultimate favorite thing to see on the road! A bike strapped onto another bike! Look at that setup!

More friendlies 🥰. I stopped for cafe and then asked if they had water for sale, and they didn’t, but before I left the girl ran and gave me two for free! Vietnamese might be the nicest so far!

Stopped for gas and this guy was instantly trying to share his bong. He said, “like Laos, you’ll like.”

I declined 😆

This one I accepted.

3 insane mountain sets.

First signs of Ninh Binh!

The motherload

Lovely.

I can tell this town is weird and vibey, but so far I kinda like it. Back to that fast paced diet for breakfast. I’m so tired. Anyone know how to pause time so I can take a nap?!

Anyone?!?
