Warungs and Sarongs: Bali

I thought I didn’t have enough to post anything. I’ve consumed my last few days with nothing but surfing. Most my time is sitting waiting for waves. There’s the gentle breeze and the sounds of waves crashing. Wandering thoughts. Move here, move there. Paddle. Heart-rate goes up. Splish-splash. Maybe, maybe! Score. Ahhhhh. Release. Back to sitting.

Those moments might seem boring, but they’re surprisingly meditative. Nothing but you and some energy that isn’t necessarily alive, but it’s definitely full of feeling. It can feel like getting hit by a bus…made of bubbles.

Anyway. Here’s beach life photos. Maybe it will help to understand what it’s all about. Life is slow, and steady, and easy. Nothing to really complain about. We will get there when we get there.

This Warung is insanity 🤤🤤🤤

Back to this life.

What is the most egregious thing on here?!! It’s honestly shocking to read.

Dogs everywhere.

Back again! The same Warung!

New outfit.

I need to layoff the sweets. I was a little skinny and it’s already caught back up lol. But cheese AND chocolate?

Beauty of a day.

Normal.

Idk, probably normal too.

Hahaha normal?!

I met Dennis in Nicaragua almost a year ago on my first surf trip! So awesome to have met him again right near the end!

Day 2 surfing was 600% more productive than day 1. I caught 6 more waves today than the first 😉. See ya tomorrow Bali!
