Finding Sanity: Koh Samui

I’ve heard of full moon parties since I’ve heard of Thailand. Honestly, when I was thinking about this trip years ago, I was like, “no way in hell I want to be near that.” I guess fate would have it otherwise.

Let’s just say I wasn’t thrilled having to stay on Chaweng Beach, the tourist epicenter. Basically, it’s the worst version of tourism, lots of giant corporations intermingled with shitty entertainment, cheap thrills, and lots of terrible people who like to enjoy that, and wayyyy too many neon lights.

Gonna actually document this debauchery later. So let’s talk about today.

Nice start. Had to immediately get out of town to find sanity.

“FREEEEEEDOMMMMMMM!”-Braveheart

Good sign.

Now we’re talking.

Exhales*

I saw there was a free gym. Apparently, on that island.

Okay, wow.

Life’s ironic.

This is the most beautiful workout I’ve ever had.

Postcards.

Everything about this photo. It’s perfect. I feel I can stop shooting photos now.

Okay, I see you now. That was much better Koh Samui. Thanks for taking the time from your normal schedule.
