Too Busy to Write
In all my happenings in life, sometimes I’m really eager to write the story. I feel the time is ripe to take notes and remember everything even while it’s happening, but in reality, I like when I feel to busy to care.
The feelings of life are meant to be lived in the moment at the moment they are happening. The things that take you out of your realm of thinking and anxiety, you are just there, in a small place in time, experiencing life as you are living it. Those are the times I look for. The road upon us, too busy to write about, but just we are just quick enough to catch and live.
Here’s a quote Rolf Potts showed me by Walt Whitman explaining the feeling:
Allons! the road is before us!
It is safe—I have tried it—my own feet have tried it well—be not detain’d!
Let the paper remain on the desk unwritten, and the book on the shelf unopen’d!
Let the tools remain in the workshop! let the money remain unearn’d!
Let the school stand! mind not the cry of the teacher!
Let the preacher preach in his pulpit! let the lawyer plead in the court, and the judge expound the law.
Camerado, I give you my hand!
I give you my love more precious than money,
I give you myself before preaching or law;
Will you give me yourself? will you come travel with me?
Shall we stick by each other as long as we live?
The road is but a path for the journey of life.
Hi.
I keep finding things people drop in the subway that are super cute.
New places.
Cute.
Maybe a swim in the rain?
Not quite sure what this is, but I enjoyed it.
Rainy days…
And bike rides!
I’m just a passenger today!
Dragon turtle?
And a dragon made of shells?
And this dragon is living his best life.
Scenery today was 👌🏼
This is the coolest Buddha-esc statue I’ve seen on my trip.
But why is there a new-age Yoda infused into the temple? So strange.
Classic.
Stopped for coffee and What a beautiful place for one.
One last motorbike selfie 🤳. Never doubted you for a minute 😉
Lovely day. Everything went swimmingly.
