Right on Time: Siam Reap, Cambodia

Just when I thought I needed something different, I went back to the basics of my travel diet. Slow and steady, less thinking, more observing, clear the mind.

What does a place have to offer? Where are you in mind and spirit? Is there something you’re overlooking? There’s a chemical response in your brain that is released when you walk. It creates a meditative and anxiety-relieving pattern reducing stress and tension.

Not knowing or needing to know what I would find provided that sweet antidote you can only find by wandering without intention. Here are the streets of Siam Reap.

If you want local experience, you do normal things. That is where the locals are. I always find getting my hair cut in other countries provides a fun and interesting experience. It’s never hard, but is always different.

0.50$ beer

I love this stop sign.

Watering the streets, normal activity in hot places across the world.

Finishing in the moat/ river…idk about that one.

Apparently there was a dinosaur parade for the full moon. Sounds dope.

Moth man?

It says dominoes, but somehow it doesn’t feel like it.

Next time you say you can’t, this dude started a coffee shop out of his bike.

Skate homies.

I love trying to capture whole families on bikes. I haven’t been very successful actually capturing them yet though.

Kid size.

My hostel had some locals playing pool. I was stoked to have some good competition! I won most the first games but after they felt me out, I lost three drinks straight to the guy on the right. Tapped out lol.

And off to an adventuresome night bus. Glad to have found some connection to fall asleep to tonight.
