Japanese Film Diaries

If Japan wasn’t cool and amazing enough, my film that came back was beautiful. Most my shots came out just as expected, if not better. My whole body kind of felt exhilarated when looking back. I smiled and laughed, I felt very satisfied, but also a little sad. It was so magical that I can’t believe its over.

The reality of life is that it keeps going forward. These memories though? They are ours forever. Whatever happens, these will always be the same. Nothing can change that.

I already love you Japan. I knew it right as I stepped off the plane. I can’t express it enough. I will see you again soon.

どもありがと。じゃまた。

Side story:

These photos were almost lost to me. Dropping them off in a little unknown Korean lab right before leaving the country left me with awaiting an email with the scans. Weeks went by and nothing. I was feeling devastated. After losing all my photos in the Lahaina fire, I couldn’t lose anymore.

Worst part is, I googled and even Earth Viewed the shop only to find both the numbers and emails listed were wrong

With that said,

AN AMAZING THANK YOU TO DAVID!

This man on a chance trip to Seoul went out of his way to find out what happened. Without his extended efforts, I’m not sure I would ever have recovered these photos. I am in your debt my friend.

VOILA! DAVID! THE HERO! Portugal, 2022
